About Coffeeholic

Coffeeholic is a coffee reference built around one question that other grind charts do not answer: where did this number come from?

Why it exists

Search for a grind setting and you will find a dozen charts giving a dozen answers, none of them saying who measured what. We went and read the manuals. Where a maker publishes a setting we print that number and link the document — usually the PDF itself, hosted here so it cannot quietly disappear. Where nobody publishes one we say we derived it, and how.

Doing that turned up how much of the published record is one linear model wearing different hats. It also turned up four cases where our own numbers disagreed with a maker's own table — three of them were ours to fix. That work is written up, dated, and kept current on the editorial standards page.

What is here

Who makes it

Coffeeholic is made in Vietnam by a small independent team who brew a lot of coffee and got tired of contradictory charts. It is not owned by a roaster, a grinder maker or a retailer, and no manufacturer has any say in what appears here — see advertising and affiliates.

Corrections

"Help us improve" is on the top right of every page, and the first option is Wrong number. If you own the grinder and your dial disagrees with ours, that is the message we most want — it is the one that can be checked against a document, and it is how several of the corrections above started. Or write to us on the contact page.
