Coffeeholic (coffeeholic.me) is a reference site for coffee grind settings and brewing. This page says exactly what it collects and who else sees it. It is short because the site does little.
What you can do without giving us anything
Reading the site, using every calculator, exporting a chart and comparing grinders need no account and no personal information. Nothing you type into the tools is sent to us — the calculators run entirely in your browser.
Third-party services on our pages
Three scripts can load on the pages of this site. Each sets its own cookies and each receives your IP address and browser details by virtue of being loaded at all — which is why two of them do not load until you say so.
If you are reading this from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a banner asks first, and Clarity and AdSense are not sent to your browser at all until you accept. Analytics loads either way but, until you accept, runs in Google's consent mode with storage denied: no cookie is set and the visit is counted without identifying the browser it came from. Decline and it stays that way. Elsewhere in the world all three load unless you decline, and a decline made anywhere is remembered everywhere.

Microsoft Clarity (project
xsw1ixe0st) — session replay and heatmaps. This records your interactions with the page: mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and keystrokes in a form, so we can see where a page confuses people. Clarity masks text input by default. Named plainly because a recording is a stronger thing than a page count. Microsoft's privacy statement. -

Cookies and local storage we set ourselves
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in, if you sign in. Cleared when you sign out.
- consent — the one word you answered the cookie banner with, "granted" or "denied", kept for six months so it is not asked again. It says nothing about you.
- units — whether you asked for grams/°C or ounces/°F. A one-year cookie holding one word.
- theme — light or dark. Stored in your browser's local storage and never sent to us.
- Feedback votes — a list of pages you have already voted "useful" on, kept in the session so the box does not ask twice.
If you send us something
- Feedback and corrections (the "Help us improve" button, the contact form, the "was this useful?" votes) store: what you wrote, the page you were on, your email if you gave one, your locale, your browser's user-agent string, and a truncated form of your IP address. The email is optional and is used only to reply.
- Atlas contributions, if you make one, store what you wrote, the source you cited and the contact you chose to give.
- An account, if you make one, stores your name, username, email and a hashed password — never the password itself. Signing in with Google additionally stores the identifier Google returns and your avatar URL.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not send marketing email — there is no mailing list. We do not share what you send us with anyone beyond the hosting and analytics providers named above.
Your choices
Whatever you answered the banner, you can change it here, and taking consent back is the same one click that gave it. The button forgets your answer and asks again.
Blocking cookies in your browser stops all of the categories above; the site keeps working, it just forgets your units and theme. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, write to us through the contact page and say so — there is no form to fill in and no account required.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
When this policy changes the date at the top changes with it. There is no archive of previous versions; the site's source history is the record.
